Welcome to the twenty sixth day of October! I hope that your year has been going well. If you have been with me a while, you will know that every year I attempt to watch a lot of scary movies for October mostly to cure myself of my wariness of scary movies. When I started this series several years ago, I could barely sit through a scary movie to save my life. Now since doing this series I can say that I am much better. Last year, I decided to attempt to add books to this series. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up completing this series last year, but I have high hopes for this year 😉
I had never seen this movie, but I had heard much about it being one of the most scary movies of all time. It came highly recommend to me as a movie that I should definitely watch for this series. So on the off chance that you hadn’t heard of this movie before, here’s a quick summary of the movie.
The Freeling family has been living in a suburban family neighborhood for several years mainly because the father, Steve is a real estate agent for the neighborhood. Late one night, the youngest daughter wakes up and wander downstairs and sits in front of the tv and starts talking to it waking the family. The next night all the children become scared during a storm in the neighborhood and Carol Anne, the youngest daughter once again crawls out of bed to talk to the tv before an earthquake occurs. After which Carol Anne announces to the family “They’re here” The following night during yet another storm the son get pulled out into the yard and while the family is rescuing him Carol Anne get pulled through a portal in the closet.
As promised I won’t spoil the ending of the movie for you on the off chance that you haven’t seen it yet. I would recommend that you watch it. It was definitely one of the more scary movies that I have watched during this series.
If you have liked any of what you have read so far feel free to look through the rest of the Scaretober posts or come back tomorrow to see what other posts I have in store for you. See you again soon!
