So, I promise I am working hard on a good surprise for you that is coming in the next month, but for now enjoy reading more book reviews that will hopefully bring back my enjoyment of actually writing posts here.
I recently finished reading Five Feet Apart a book by Rachael Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Laconis. I was inspired to read the book after seeing several trailers for the movie, but not getting to read it. I also read several good reviews from a few bloggers that I follow that also enjoyed the book.
The book is about a girl and a boy who happen to meet at a hospital while they are undergoing treatment for varying stages of Cystic Fibrosis. In general the book tells us that people with CF have to stay 6 feet apart to avoid cross contamination of germs, but Stella and Will decide to take a risk and agree to stay 5 feet apart. Stella with her regimented medication and her app building skills creates and app to monitor her meds and help her get through the day. She forces Will to use the app and eventually have hope for his life not to mention realize how selfish he has been in his life so far.
I loved reading the book and it did make me get a bit teary eyed at parts, but then again I might not have tear ducts like a normal person. I have heard other people get super emotional toward the conclusion of the book and everything that happens in the last 30 pages. I would recommend that you read this book if you have seen the movie, because I think you would get a bit more insight into Stella and Will. If you are a sucker for sappy heart breaking teen romances you may also enjoy this book.
Let me know if you have read this book and what you thought of it or if you have read the movie and if you would recommend it.
