Belly has an unforgettable summer in this stunning start to the Summer I Turned Pretty series from the New York Times bestselling author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (now a major motion picture!), Jenny Han.
Some summers are just destined to be pretty.
Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer—they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

Hey!
We’re down to the final days of 2020 and that’s finally a relief after the crazy year that it has been. In an upcoming posts I will talk about my new resolutions, hopes and goals for the coming year as well as sharing several other things.

Right now though, let’s get back to the review that you are here for. If you have been following the blog for a while you know that I read Jenny Han’s To all the Boys I ever loved series back in 2018. I was on such a reading high back then. I recently found the first book in Jenny Han’s other series The Summer I turned pretty.

I love reading YA books because you can dive back into highschool and relive all those emotions all over again. I especially loved that this book is portrayed through a summer with flash backs from other summers. I loved that you really got to feel the summer and the enjoyment of a beach town and all that comes with it.

Let me know if you have read this book or if you have read any other books in Jenny Han’s repertoire. I can’t wait to tell you all about my goals and dreams for the upcoming year and other new things that maybe coming to the blog in the future. I can’t wait to really get back to blogging again. I hope that you’ll come back again to read more posts and see more things to come here in the future.

If you love holiday stories, holiday movies, made-for-TV-holiday specials, holiday episodes of your favorite sitcoms and, especially, if you love holiday anthologies, you’re going to fall in love with My True Love Gave To Me: Twelve Holiday Stories by twelve bestselling young adult writers, edited by international bestselling author Stephanie Perkins. Whether you enjoy celebrating Christmas or Hanukkah, Winter Solstice or New Year's there's something here for everyone. So curl up by the fireplace and get cozy. You have twelve reasons this season to stay indoors and fall in love.

Hey!
I’m back with yet another book review. Yes, I know I should post more real life things, but at least I am catching up on my reading goals. This past week I was reading for the #Tistheseasonathon Reading Challenge, which I love and find it so fun to read holiday books during this time of year. This is actually the second book I finished for the week, but since the first book will actually come with a movie review that will come later. I loved this book for the most part. There were a few stories that I couldn’t get into, but I couldn’t stop turning pages and wanting to read more. An anthology like this is so great because it gives me a chance to try out new authors and find books that I might want to read in the future.

This is also the second book edited by Stephanie Perkins for the holidays the first one is Summer Days, and Summer Nights and you can read my review here. I kind of wish that there were more anthology books out there. Let me know if you have read this book or the other anthology edited by Stephanie Perkins and what you thought. I hope to see you soon in another post.

Lara Jean’s letter-writing days aren’t over in this surprise follow-up to the bestselling To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You.
Lara Jean is having the best senior year a girl could ever hope for. She is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Peter; her dad’s finally getting remarried to their next door neighbor, Ms. Rothschild; and Margot’s coming home for the summer just in time for the wedding.
But change is looming on the horizon. And while Lara Jean is having fun and keeping busy helping plan her father’s wedding, she can’t ignore the big life decisions she has to make. Most pressingly, where she wants to go to college and what that means for her relationship with Peter. She watched her sister Margot go through these growing pains. Now Lara Jean’s the one who’ll be graduating high school and leaving for college and leaving her family—and possibly the boy she loves—behind.
When your heart and your head are saying two different things, which one should you listen to?

Hey!

I’m back again with yet another book review. I know that I am unintentionally turning this into a book blog, but at least you have consistent posts from me for a little bit right?!? What’s worse hearing about the tons of books I’m reading or not hearing from me.

Let’s get back to the topic at hand. This book review in case you haven’t noticed is about the book Always and Forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han, the final book in the To All the Boys I’ve loved before trilogy. If you haven’t read my reviews of the previous two books you can read them here and here.

I will try and keep my promise to not spoil the ending of the book too much, but there was so much about this ending that was felt unfinished. I loved the second book in the trilogy most because I felt that it let you believe that Peter and Lara Jean would make it and be in love forever. This book the ending just left you with too many possibilities and too much despair even though it was closing the door on one chapter of life. I love reading YA because of the fact that you can dive into this world with literally no hesitation and feel like you are diving back into high school. I loved the sass in this book and the personality of the Asian American family shined through. If you haven’t read this book or any book in the series I recommend that you should especially since there’s a Netflix special coming out soon.

Let me know if you have read this book and what you thought. I also read this for the Paper & Glam bookclub , so if you aren’t participating in that you should and can do so here. If you have any recommendations for books I should read this year, let me know 🙂 I have so many more books to read, so hopefully they’ll all end up as book reviews on here. If you would like to read some reviews on some of the e-books I’ve read let me know 🙂 Otherwise those mini reviews are always on my Goodreads. I’ll see you soon with another post.

Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.

Hey!

I’m back again with yet another book review. I know that I am unintentionally turning this into a book blog, but at least you have consistent posts from me for a little bit right?!?

Let’s get back to the topic at hand. This book review in case you haven’t noticed is about the book P.S. I still love you by Jenny Han, The second book in the To all the Boys I loved before trilogy. I’ll blame the first book on my continuing of this series. You can read that review here.

If you haven’t read the first book in the series, I think you should stop reading now. Sorry, but this book picks up where the first book left off in Lara Jean Song Covey’s life. We find her and Peter still split apart and Lara Jean having to make some hard decisions right now. Before Lara Jean knows it a video of her and Peter surfaces from the night at the ski lodge and people begin to say that she and Peter are doing more than they actually are. Lara Jean worries about her relationship with Peter and how it compares to his previous relationship with her ex-best friend.

I will try and keep my promise to not spoil the ending of the book too much. I cried and teared up at the ending of this book and I like many people didn’t really want the story to continue, but yet it does into book three. I’ll definitely be picking up the third and final book of the trilogy soon, though you’ll have to wait to get that review until after the review of some of the readathon books. I would definitely recommend this book, because it will go super fast especially if you are into YA romances and a bit of sass and devilish high school issues. If you haven’t read this book yet I recommend that you should especially since there’s a Netflix special coming out soon.

Let me know if you have read this book and what you thought. If you have any recommendations for books I should read this year, let me know 🙂 I’ll also be participating in the Creating & Co June Relaxation Readathon, so they’ll be a ton more reviews coming soon! I’ll see you soon with another post.

What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them…all at once?
Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

Hey!
I’m back again with yet another book review. I know that I am unintentionally turning this into a book blog, but at least you have consistent posts from me for a little bit right?!?

Let’s get back to the topic at hand. This book review in case you haven’t noticed is about the book To all the boys I’ve loved before by Jenny Han. Let’s just say that I have owned this book for a considerable amount of time and mostly bought it for the cover. This year in my “Let’s read all the books and empty out the bookshelves” challenge. I’ve finally broke down and decided to read this book and I’m so glad I did!

I will try and keep my promise to not spoil the ending of the book too much, but the very open ended ending to the book left me wanting more. As you can probably tell from my Currently Reading goodreads shelf I’ve started the second book in this trilogy P.S. I still love you.  I love how fast this book went by or at least how fast it went by in my head. I really try and not think about how fast I’m reading in terms of days but it happens. I loved this YA romance read without being too much YA romance. I also loved the sass in this book and the personality of the Asian American family shined through.

Reads a bit like Birds of Prey the movie where Harley Quinn is narrating the story. ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 stars I also thought the sketchy style of art was an interesting twist as compared to the rest of the books. Would recommend although it feels like it could use a sequel 😉 #jamiereads #52books #bookblogger #bookstagram #❤️
