I’m back with another book review. Thankfully I have been in a reading mood and have been whipping through books like the wind lately. This book was no different. I had picked this book several years ago, but have never gotten around to reading it.
I finally decided to pick up this week and I pretty much flew through it. I enjoyed that the chapters were short and the whole story felt as if it were unfolding in real time like a sitcom story that neatly gets wrapped up in 30 minutes to an hour. I let myself take a bit longer to read it though because of the heavy underlining backdrop of September 11th and the years that followed.

As someone that lived through this time period at around the same ages as Lucy and Gabriel were in the story I could relate to parts of their story, more to Lucy than to Gabriel. This story dredged up some strange and strong memories surrounding that time that will stick with me.

I would definitely recommend reading it. It was a beautiful love story that kept me wanting to find out more. I enjoyed how Lucy acknowledged that she loved both Gabriel and Darren though it wasn’t the same kind of love. I loved the twist and turns of the ending that acknowledges all the different sides of Lucy
