Scaretober-Movie Review: Final Destination

scaretober 2020

Welcome to the sixth day of October! I hope that your year has been going well. If you have been with me a while, you will know that every year I attempt to watch a lot of scary movies for October mostly to cure myself of my wariness of scary movies. When I started this series several years ago, I could barely sit through a scary movie to save my life. Now since doing this series I can say that I am much better. Last year, I decided to attempt to add books to this series. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up completing this series last year, but I have high hopes for this year 😉

The sixth movie this year is Final Destination.

This movie came highly recommended by nearly everyone, when I told them I was doing this series this year. Well, it was one of the series that came highly recommend. I bet you can guess some of the others that came recommend. Leave your guesses in the comments below.

In case you haven’t seen any of the movies in the Final Destination series here is the quick rundown of the movie. Alex is supposed to leave on a Spring Break trip with his class to France the night before the trip his dad unintentionally gives him an ominous warning to “live it up” Alex doesn’t think anything of what his dad says but wakes up during the night feeling a bit strange. The next day at the airport Alex falls alseep once boarding the plane and has a very real vision of the plane exploding and freaks out. His freak out leads 4 of his classmates and his teacher leaving the plane with him, just before the plane leaves the airport and explodes. Alex is horrified by what has happened. A few weeks later Alex can’t help but continuing to feel uneasy like the few that did survive did something wrong. Soon the lives of the survivors begin getting attacked and Alex is the only one who feels like he has the power to save them.

I won’t completely spoil the ending for you, but I’m sure that you can guess since it is a series. I will say that the movie is full of jump scares and since we never actually see the villain. It makes it a bit scarier.

I hope that you have been enjoying the posts this month and that you’ll keep reading along for more movie reviews and scary recommendations this month. See you soon in another post.
