On Christmas Eve five years ago, Holly was visited by three ghosts who showed her how selfish and spoiled she'd become. They tried to convince her to mend her ways.
And then she died.
Now she's stuck working for the top-secret company Project Scrooge--as the latest Ghost of Christmas Past.
Every year, they save another miserly grouch. Every year, Holly stays frozen at seventeen while her family and friends go on living without her. So far, Holly's afterlife has been miserable.
But this year, everything is about to change. . . .
Sorry that it has been a minute since I have written here. I recently finished this book, I had hoped to finish it for the #tistheseasonathon Readathon that happened the other week, but alas that didn’t happen. I loved this modern retelling of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol and thought that it was very relate able to how people feel today. I could definitely relate to how Holly was feeling about Christmas and the feelings her step mother evoked regarding Christmas. I loved the twist at the end of the story, but I won’t tell you what it is in case you read it. I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a light hearted holiday read.
Look for a few more holiday themed posts within the next week.
